very simple

It started snowing here this morning. I know I’ve started getting old when I no longer think about how pretty it is or how much fun it could be, but rather about what a pain in the ass it will be to trudge to the subway after work today, and I hope that I closed my windows all the way, and how am I going to get to the dry cleaner in the morning without ruining all the clothes that can’t get wet…

And it also kind of sucks that adults don’t get snow days. Particularly in New York, where once I get to the subway station 1/2 a block from my house, I can actually get all the way inside my 24th-floor office without going outside again (Damn you, sprawling Rockefeller Center Concourse!). On the other hand, I can also go from my office all the way to the Banana Republic on 5th Avenue without putting a coat on either, so that’s kind of cool.

I’m still working on my photo albums. Hopefully I’ll have everything wrapped up this weekend, while I successfully cocoon inside my apartment, venturing out only for more diet coke…
